The critical installation phase began the beginning of July. From now on please only use the correct torque and new self-locking nuts with screw safety varnish!
The main landing gear was finally mounted. Then the brake lines were assembled and installed. The brake lines are integrated inside the main undercarriage. In the cockpit the lines from the right and left meet at the parking brake, which can be operated directly from a lever in the center console. The other lines then run via the four rudder pedals (toe brakes) where the equalizing tanks are located.
The nose gear, which was originally from a DA40, has been slightly optimized for weight. The wheel and the axle were replaced by a new system from Beringer Aero. To make them lighter, all three wheels on the aircraft are now tubeless.
