Last season, our G109 finally hit 3000 flying hours and thus, it requires a service life extension program. To this end, we started a crowdfunding campaign for the overhaul of our G109, during which we earned more than 3500€. We would like to heartily thank all those who donated.
The G109 is getting a new instrument panel. A few things, such as the instrments and the seat harnesses, also got an overhaul. Much work was invested in the wings, and inspection holes were installed to allow for the checking of the aileron control rods. Furthermore, the inserts on the spar ends had to be switched out and were replaced with more modern ones.
As soon as work can continue, we hope after a few more weeks of work that our Elfriede can finally take to the skies again.
